Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FYZ Archiver ("the app", "we", "us"), a product of FYCODZ, handles information. FYZ Archiver is private by default: your files are processed entirely on your own device and are never uploaded to us.

1. Summary

• We do not collect, upload, store, or access your files.
• All compression, extraction, and encryption happen locally on your device.
• We use no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking.
• The only network activity is license verification and an anonymous free-usage counter.

2. Files and content

FYZ Archiver reads and writes only the files you explicitly select. This processing happens on your device only. Your file names, contents, and metadata are never transmitted to FYCODZ or any third party.

3. Licensing information

If you purchase a paid plan, license management is handled by our payments provider, Lemon Squeezy. When you activate a license key, the following is sent directly to Lemon Squeezy's license API to validate your subscription:

• Your license key (which you entered).
• A device instance name derived from your machine, to bind the license to your device and enforce your plan's seat limit.

Your license key and its validation data are stored locally, encrypted using the Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI). We never receive your payment card details; those are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. See the Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy.

4. Free-usage counter

The Free plan includes a limited amount of free FYZ compression. To enforce this limit, the app keeps a cumulative byte counter that may be synchronised through an anonymous service. The data transmitted is a numeric usage total only - no file names, no contents, and nothing that identifies you personally.

5. Payments

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as Merchant of Record. You provide your payment and billing details directly to Lemon Squeezy on their secure checkout page. FYCODZ does not see or store this information.

6. Data we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, location, contacts, usage analytics, crash telemetry, or advertising identifiers through the app.

7. Children

FYZ Archiver is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data about you on our servers, there is generally no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. License records held by Lemon Squeezy are subject to their privacy practices. You may deactivate your license at any time within the app, and manage or cancel your subscription through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

10. Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
